No remorse problem

Pls Help.I own the original version of crusader no remorse and succesfully installed it with the beehive bootdisk.
After installing I ran it with the bootdisk/without it/and under every pure dos program imaginable and I always end up with a black screen!!Now on the cd the help says to configure config.sys files=40 and buffers=40 on the shortcut he tells you to create.when I run it with the shortcut which has files=40 buffers=40 I still get a black screen!!
I'm desperate.If you have any ideas pls reply.and my computer has 16mb ram only do you think it's the problem???? :-[
 
How did you use the boot disk?

Restart the computer with it in the drive, and a menu will come up... That SHOULD solve all your problems.
 
I did!!
In fact as i said i installed it successfully with it but when i run it.....Nothing :-[
could you give me a guide or something for it on the bootdisk???
 
16mb should be enough. At least that's what i had on my previus computer.

Not sure about bootdisk. Try to download my DEEP program. It will create a bootdisk fro you that runs almost all DOS games. Including crusader.
